The Coast Guard and Sheriff&#8217;s Dept. came to inspect the Miss Rockaway Armada. We passed! With flying colors (more or less). <\/p>\n<p>A sergeant from the Sheriff&#8217;s Dept. was overheard on his phone saying, &#8220;If I called in a report on this, no one would believe it.&#8221; One of the Coast Guard officers commented, &#8220;I wouldn&#8217;t be caught dead on that thing&#8230;that doesn&#8217;t mean it wouldn&#8217;t be a lot of fun.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In all seriousness, the Coast Guard was professional, respectful, and definitely had our safety in mind.
